A leaking bathroom or balcony can look like a small inconvenience at first. A damp patch appears, grout darkens, paint bubbles, or water starts dripping into the room below. The big question is whether the tiles need to be hacked out, or whether a simpler surface treatment can solve the problem.
Tile hacking is messy, noisy, and more costly than surface work. It may also put a bathroom, kitchen, balcony, or rooftop out of use for days.
